The skin is prepped, and the VI Peel is applied for a short period of time. Patients are sent home with a post-procedure kit and complete instructions for the peeling process, which typically occurs over a seven-day period. A series of three to four peels can be administered over a four to five month period for more stubborn skin conditions. The VI Peel is also safe to treat delicate areas such as the undereyes and other areas like the chest, back, and hands.
