HALO laser resurfacing is an advanced laser skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve sun damage, uneven tone, fine lines, enlarged pores, and skin texture.By delivering controlled laser energy into the skin, the treatment helps stimulate collagen production and support natural skin renewal.
This leads to new tissue growth, giving clients a younger, firmer, and clearer complexion.
At La Chelé Medical Aesthetics & Wellness, every HALO treatment is combined with BroadBand Light (BBL) to address both surface pigmentation and deeper signs of skin aging in a single treatment session. When combined with Forever Young BBL, we target the deepest dermal layers, stimulating collagen production and speeding up cellular turnover.
Patients from Bucks County, Montgomery County, and the greater Philadelphia area visit La Chelé for customized laser skin rejuvenation treatments designed to support smoother, clearer, healthier looking skin.
In a complimentary medspa consultation, one of our experienced medical providers will determine if you’re a candidate for HALO and how many treatments you’ll need.
Because HALO works in both the superficial and deeper layers of the skin, it can address visible damage while supporting long term skin renewal.
HALO treatments are most commonly performed on the face, neck, and chest, but may also be used on areas such as the hands or arms.
HALO uses fractional laser technology to create controlled treatment zones within the skin. These microscopic treatment channels stimulate the body’s natural healing response, encouraging collagen production and new skin cell turnover.
During treatment, a medical provider scans the laser across the treatment area to precisely target damaged skin while leaving surrounding tissue intact. As the skin heals, the body gradually replaces damaged cells with healthier new tissue.
This process helps improve skin tone, texture, and overall clarity while supporting long term collagen remodeling.
Patients typically arrive one hour before treatment to allow time for topical numbing. Once the skin is cleansed and prepared, your provider will customize the treatment settings based on your skin concerns and desired downtime.
At La Chelé, many patients receive BroadBand Light treatment prior to HALO resurfacing to address superficial pigmentation before deeper laser treatment begins.
The HALO handpiece then delivers controlled pulses of energy across the skin while continuously monitoring temperature to support precision and patient comfort.
Most patients experience redness and mild swelling following HALO treatment. The skin may appear warm or slightly bronzed as microscopic treatment zones begin the natural renewal process.

What areas should I have treated with HALO?
We often treat the face and neck together, but HALO can also be used to address body scars. Don’t forget about your neck and chest when treating the face!
At what age should I treat with HALO?
We recommend HALO for everyone, whether as a preventative measure to achieve the “HALO Glow” or to tackle concerns as you age to maintain and improve your skin.
How often do you need HALO laser?
The frequency of HALO laser treatments depends on your skin goals and the condition you’re treating.
We recommend avoiding sun exposure for four weeks prior to treatment. Do not use retinol or salicylic acid for one week pre-treatment. If you have melasma or a darker skin type, we recommend treating with hydroquinone for one week before the procedure.

The standard downtime for HALO is about one week, although some individuals may experience redness and swelling for up to two weeks. More downtime usually means more effective results, so please plan accordingly.
We recommend two treatments spaced 1-3 months apart, followed by annual maintenance. This will be determined by your medical provider based on your skin assessment during your complimentary consultation.

The patient arrives 45 minutes before their scheduled laser appointment for topical numbing. At La Chele, we treat the skin with a BBL prior to the HALO. The pre-Halo BBL takes about 30 minutes, and the HALO takes about 1 hour.
After a HALO laser treatment, swelling typically lasts around 2 to 3 days, although it can vary depending on your skin and the intensity of the treatment. For most people, swelling is mild to moderate, and it tends to subside within the first 48-72 hours.

BBL (BroadBand Light) and HALO laser are both effective for improving skin texture and tone, but they use different technologies and target different skin concerns.BBL uses BroadBand Light (BBL) to target the skin with broad-spectrum light. It delivers light energy to the skin, which is absorbed by pigment (like freckles or sunspots) and blood vessels (like broken capillaries), effectively treating various skin issues. Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that combines both ablative (removes some skin layers) and non-ablative (stimulates deeper layers of skin) lasers.

Yes! HALO and CO2 lasers are our top choices for treating deep scars.
HALO laser is not indicated to treat acne, but it can treat acne scarring.
After a HALO laser treatment, it’s recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 to 48 hours. Exercise raises your heart rate and blood circulation, which can increase swelling and redness in the treated area. Sweat can irritate the treated skin, especially if you have any peeling or compromised skin barrier. It can also increase the risk of infection, as sweat may carry bacteria. The heat generated during exercise can also increase inflammation in your skin and potentially affect the healing process.
It is not recommended to wear makeup until your skin has healed from the HALO laser.
Yes, HALO laser can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles! It’s especially effective for treating fine lines and superficial wrinkles due to its combination of ablative and non-ablative lasers.
The main difference between HALO and Fraxel lasers is that Halo combines both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths for a more customized treatment, while Fraxel primarily uses non-ablative technology to target deeper layers of the skin for more intensive resurfacing.
Yes, HALO laser treatments can help tighten the skin on the neck, along with improving its texture and tone.
Halo can treat dark pigment from melasma, however the heat from the laser can also induce a melasma flare. We recommend our MOXI laser for treating melasma.
